‘Kolyba’ is the scent of a quiet shelter among the mountains, where a shepherd cooks brynza, dries his clothes on the smoke and silently looks into the fire. It is an olfactory memory of a fire that smoulders forever in the centre of a dark wooden hut - with traces of smoke, soot, tar and fresh raw wood.

The top chords are smoke from the fireplace, infused with pine wood, with notes of burnt wood, smouldering hay and a pinch of juniper. You can feel the warmth of hands that have just lit the fire.

The heart of the fragrance is the herbal dryness of immortelle hanging in bunches under the ceiling and the viscous bitterness of propolis mixed with a leather jacket that has absorbed the smoke of dozens of evenings. There is also a slight echo of tincture stored in a clay jug on the shelf.

The base is old wood, soaked in time, the tart smell of leather, warm resin, the roughness of shingles and forest moss that stretches up the logs.
